Weigh In Tonight!
Tonight is my weigh in and I am hoping to show some loss, but even if I don’t, I feel better for starting this and sticking to it. My husband is predicting three pounds, I am hoping for anywhere between 1 and 5.
In the past week and a half (I unofficially started last Monday) I have increased the amount of fruits and vegetables, decreased the amount of sugar and soda, increased my water intake and increased my fiber intake. I am even trying to force myself to eat breakfast in the morning.
My next step is to get on a regular exercise schedule. I plan to start walking, but I am not sure what time of day. I am not really a morning person, so I don’t see myself getting up early to walk. Most likely I will be walking at night after dinner.
Since baseball season has started for our youth league I am going to put my tennis shoes in the van and start walking the parking lot while my son is practicing. That will force me to exercise at least two days a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays).
Goals
Okay, Weight Watchers wants us to set goals for weight loss, and they used ideal body weight to determine this goal. My ideal body weight is around 130 pounds, so that is what I have set as my goal. Here is my motivation. I want to be able to wear a bathing suit like this and feel confident, not worry that I look like a beached whale.
Beginnings
A few weeks ago my husband challenged me to drop weight. He made me a promise that if I reached a certain goal I would get a reward of my choosing. Since then I have been thinking alot about my health and wanting to lose the weight for the right reasons. I have a 10 year old son who is very active and I want to be around for him and be able to keep up with him. So, I decided I was going to lose the weight. I started looking into weight loss options and decided that Weight Watchers was the way for me to go.
I joined Weight Watchers last Wednesday and weighed in at 221 pounds. One of the tasks that we had to do as new members (supposed to be a motivational tool) was to measure our upper arm, our upper thigh, our waist, and our hips. When I saw my measurements I wanted to sit down and cry. To say the least it was a real eye opener and definitely a motivator.
This past week I have been staying around my alotted 20 points and drinking as much water as I possibly can without floating away. I must say I don’t like water, so thank god for Crystal Light. My weigh in is tomorrow and I am a little anxious, but I am so motivated to stick with this.

Okay here is the scary reality:
